Grey Sweater Dress Outfit
Dressing up in the colder weather is challenge! I normally gravitate towards jeans and leggings but decided to kick it up a notch in something that still allowed me to stay comfortable. Say hello to the sweater dress!
I’ve had my eye on this Leith Long Sleeve Dolman Sweater Minidress from Nordstrom and finally took the plunge. I purchased it in a size large in grey and extra-large in black, also available in plus sizes here. The fabric is the perfect thickness with just the right amount of stretch. I also love the v-neck, very elongating. I decided to go for the large for a more form fitting look. Thankfully, returns are always easy at Nordstrom so I never hesitate to order two sizes to ensure the perfect fit.
Normally I’d go for the black paired with opaque or patterned black tights but I’ve been wanting to style a grey sweater dress and I loved how it paired with these BP. Lex Booties in the Chestnut suede. If I were to wear this outside of my house, I’d pair it with an over the knee boot like these and open-bust shapewear piece to keep everything smooth underneath. If a full body piece isn’t your thing, I’d also wear shorts like this or this. I’d also top it with a knee length coat like this one (recently purchased). Lately when I feel like getting more dressed up, I’ve been swapping out my Apple Watch band for this one!

Pro tip: If you ever have issue with static, I like to spray a little hairspray on the inside of the dress before putting it on! Helps tremendously. I also took a gamble on this Cozy Fleece Tunic which was THE most comfortable thing but it ran super short on me so I probably couldn’t get away with it as a dress, but then again in 2020, anything goes. If I ventured outside, I’d definitely need to wear leggings with it.
Let me know what you think about this look! Would love to hear your thoughts. In case you’re doing any more holiday shopping, be sure to check out Nordstrom made brands! The quality and price point are top notch. Feel free to leave any questions below. Look who decided to jump in a picture with me!
