My Evening Routine
If you’ve been around here for a minute, you’d know that my life was pretty travel-heavy prior to recent events. You may be surprised to hear that I actually THRIVE on routines, it’s one of things that keeps me sane in times of chaos. I like to create “mini-routines” so no matter where I am or what’s going on, I do them and for a brief moment, all feels well in the world.
Enter, my nighttime routine.
Let’s start with skincare:
I always start with cleansing! If I have a face full of makeup on I like to double cleanse- which means you first apply a cleansing balm like Colleen Rothchild Radiant Cleansing Balm or Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm onto your dry, full of makeup face.
HOW TO USE: Place balm in clean, dry hands then rub together to warm product. Apply to dry skin and massage all over face. Wet a cloth with hand-hot water and wring damp. Place over skin for a mini-facial, then use to wipe off balm.
If I’m feeling lazy, I’ll just skip right to my second cleanser which is usually First Aid Beauty’s Pure Skin Cleanser. I’ll also use Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes if I’ve got a lot of eye makeup on to get rid of pesky mascara.
Secondly, toner! I usually alternate between First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads and Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads. This removes any traces of cleanser and/or makeup. Have you ever noticed breakouts in your hairline? Well I’ve learned that can be because of left over cleanser so make sure you are rinsing throughly and/or toning!
Lastly, moisturize! I usually do some sort of serum and a cream. Lately for serums I’ve been alternating between First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum (I usually use during the day), Colleen Rothschild Age Renewal Super Serum and Colleen Rothschild Retinol Supreme Night Oil. I’ll give that a moment to soak in and then I’ll apply a moisturizer. Favorites include Tula Hydrating Day & Night Cream, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Intense Hydration and their Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer, Colleen Rothschild Extreme Recovery Cream. Now is a good time to add eye cream or acne spot treatment too. A few of my favorites are on this post!

Now, ONTO vitamins + CBD:
I used to attempt to take my vitamins in the morning but the day would always get away from me and I’d forget. I keep my vitamins out next to my skincare so I’ve made it a part of my evening routine. My favorite to take is Ritual, I’ve been using them just shy of a year now. I LOVE how they make me feel- I really noticed a difference when I started taking them consistently. However, I will admit, sometimes they make me burp so taking them at night helps avoid that completely. I also like to take Magnesium for my migraines.
I’ve been extremely open with my experience with CBD, you can read more about it here. I’m a big fan of Equilibria - I think they’re an incredible company doing amazing things. I’ve worked with a dosage specialist to determine the best dosage for me.
