My Favorite Cocktail Recipes
Let’s talk cocktails! Specifically, ‘quarantinis’ also known as drinks that we’re making at home right now! I’ve never considered myself an expert bartender but I do appreciate a good cocktail. Here are a few of my favorite recipes:
Bloody Mary
This is truly my specialty and favorite to make! I love it especially with all of the fixings, it’s kind of a high maintenance drink but it’s so worth it.
Start with a large / tall glass and dampen the rim with a lemon / lime wedge and dip it in Tajin
Fill glass with ice
add 1.5-2 oz of Vodka (I prefer Tito’s)
Squeeze in a lemon and lime wedge
Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce like Frank’s
add 8 oz of a good mix, I like Zing Zang
I love that it comes in these cans so I don’t waste a whole bottle if it’s just for me
Stir well! Garnish with a celery stick, olives, pickles, bacon, pepperoni, cheese cubes, lemon + lime wedges - whatever you’d like!
Bloody Ceasar
Same recipe/process as above but instead of Bloody Mary mix, you can swap it out for Clamato juice. I find it’s a little bit lighter / thinner than Bloody Mary mix but equally as good. Shout out to my Canadian friends for introducing me to this!
Extra Dirty Martini
One of my favorite drinks to order at restaurants! I like to order it extra dirty, I had a few failed attempts at home until I had a few kind readers message me their recipes. Here’s what worked for me to get it to my liking.
In a shaker with ice, pour in:
2 oz. of Vodka (I prefer Tito’s)
0.5 - 1.5 oz of olive juice to taste (I use Spanish olive juice or Dirty Sue Olive Juice)
Tiny splash of Dry Vermouth (I prefer Martini & Rossi)
Shake it extremely hard for 30-45 seconds. Pour into your martini glass of choice! Garnish with your preferred olives (I love gorgonzola stuffed) on a metal toothpick.
Espresso Martini
Our favorite after-dinner cocktail, we’ve perfected the recipe and have been following this one!
Add all of the following ingredients into a shaker with ice:
2 oz Vodka (I prefer Tito’s)
1/2 oz Simple syrup
1/2 oz Coffee liqueur
1 oz Freshly brewed espresso (we use these Nespresso pods)
Shake well and pour into a martini glass, garnish with coffee beans
Other favorites & On my list to try:
