My Favorite Underwear Picks

Let’s chat undies! I do want to preface this post by mentioning that underwear is all based on preference. For me, my priorities are function and comfort. Others may prioritize sexiness and sure, I can appreciate that but I think there are times and places when that’s necessary. When I’m jetsetting to my next modeling job or lounging on my sofa, I don’t want to have to worry and think about my undergarments or any visible panty lines (VPL’s). Regardless, I thought it may be helpful to share my favorite brands to shop so if you have different preferences on style, at least this will be a good place for you to start!

#1 Favorite Soma:

I’ve talked about Soma underwear for years now, they truly are the BEST! Say goodbye to VPL for EVER without having to wear a thong. However, you have to make sure you’re grabbing the right style. My favorites are the Vanishing Edge (Micofiber Lace High Leg Brief, Cotton Blend with Lace High Leg Brief, Lace Back Hipster, Microfiber High Leg Brief), Vanishing 360 (Modern Brief) and Vanishing Tummy (Modern Brief + Scallop Retro Brief).

The Vanishing Edge + Vanishing Tummy are great for moderate tummy support. I like when they hit right underneath my belly button so that’s why I prefer the brief but they do have other lower rise and thong options. The Vanishing 360 truly feels like you’re not wearing anything, they’re so lightweight but I wouldn’t say I feel like I’m being “held” in. All options will NOT show panty lines as long as you’re shopping within the Vanishing collection.

SIZING: I am a size 14 and wear a size large comfortably in everything but I really think it depends on how you carry your weight / how you’re distributed.

Honorable mentions:

To be honest, I wear Soma 90% of the time because they’re just so good and versatile but I do have a few other favorites that are good for comfort and sexier options. I usually wear XL in these brands.

Chantelle, Commando, Cosabella, Fantasie, Hanky Panky & Spanx

Take care of your delicates:

What you use to wash your undergarments (and how you wash them) also makes a big difference. Avoid any harsh chemicals that can damage the synthetic fibers (Woolite is a MAJOR no-no). Traditional detergents (All, Tide, etc.) are designed for spun fibers, like cotton. They get the gunk off of the fibers but not out of the pores. Look for a surfactant wash – this technology binds to the gunk in the pores and effectively cleans the fibers – think of it like a Biore pore strip for your delicates!

Pro tip: these washes are best for anything with a high Lycra contents (bras, panties, hosiery, swimsuits, and workout gear) but they will clean anything! My personal favorite is Forever New, also available in Unscented. Other approved brands include The Laundress, Soak, Eucalan, and Norwex.

I wash my delicates all together, hang dry my bras and put the panties in the dryer on delicate. If you take care of them, they will last. For more bra washing tips, click here!

Organize:

Last week on my IG stories I shared how I re-organized my underwear drawer so wanted to re-share here. I purchased this set from Amazon to help keep things where they should be!

I hope you found this post helpful! Be sure to leave any questions or your favorites below. I’m always open to trying new things! Thanks for allowing me to be your go-to gal!
