The Friday Fit
TGIF! Back at it for week two of The Friday Fit. In case you missed last week’s post, this is my chance to share and reflect on all of the GOOD things happening — big and small. Let’s get to it:
Don’t be fooled by our daily walks, Walter is still as lazy as ever. He very much enjoyed his extra day to sleep in this week.
I “made” AKA assembled all of the ingredients to this delicious burrata dish, inspired by the one and only Ina! Now I’m wondering WHY I have never purchased burrata at home before (if you’re not familiar, it’s like a creamier fresh mozzarella). 10/10 recommend! Also, I purchased these herb scissors a few months ago and it takes my “work smarter, not harder” motto to the next level.
Because life is about balance! Set a goal to MOVE my body at least 5x each week whether it be on walks or working out. Brian’s been doubling as my personal trainer, finding workouts online and keeping things interesting for me — it’s so hard for me to stay motivated so it’s definitely been helpful.
Posted a questionnaire about keeping flowers alive and you gals came through with the suggestions! My favorite was finding Native Poppy’s IG and watching their highlight titled “Experiment.” They tested a bunch of different ways to keep flowers alive, the results were amazing! Spoiler: fresh water / a penny won.
My mom, photographer Ryan and I took a ride out to visit Let’s Goat Buffalo! Buffalo's first "goatscaping" outfit, effectively managing lands in an economical, sustainable and carbon-friendly manner. I will be donating half of the proceeds from my closet sale to them (other half is going here) and they were kind enough to invite us for a visit. We had the BEST time, I learned so much. I’ll be sharing more on stories today. How cute is my mom?
In case you missed it the first time around or need a new size, my Amazon The Drop Collection has just a few items left that were returned (everything was made on demand so there are no formal restocks). Sizes range from XXS-3X- their first collection up to a 3X! I wear an XL in everything.
And lastly, I can’t look at today’s date without thinking about this day 19 years ago. I remember exactly where I was when it happened when the world stopped, in my 4th grade classroom. May we always remember those who lost their lives and their loved ones.
Thank you so much for your support on this series! I’m excited to keep it going. This week I created a lot of new content for the blog + social media. In case you missed it, check out my guide on how to pose in photos, my favorite everyday bras, work from home outfit inspiration and my dad’s pasta salad recipe.
This weekend I plan on laying low. We might attempt a second peel + stick wallpaper application if we’re feeling wild. Brian is looking forward to The Buffalo Bills will be playing on Sunday, we will probably watch with a few of our friends! Are you a football watcher? I don’t mind it, I mostly enjoy the snacks if we’re being honest. But… go Bills!
What do you have planned? Would love to hear what’s on your mind! As always, thanks for reading!
