The Friday Fit

TGIF! Let’s get to another edition of The Friday Fit — my chance to share things that I’ve been loving and/or inspired by lately. For me, it’s extremely important to reflect on the past week before looking ahead. Here’s what’s been happening in my world:

LWH is soaking up every last bit of summer until it’s officially gone…

My mom / newly appointed “VP of organization” helped transform one of my closets into an organized oasis. We have A LOT more work to do but I’ll be sure to keep you updated and share tips the next time we’re together. I switched all of my pants to these hangers and it’s been a game changer. I will be doing another sale through The Saved Collection and donating all of my proceeds to a charity of choice again.

Took an outdoor Shibori class (a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique) hosted by MUSEjar + Lace & Day. I have to say, I’m pretty impressed by my results!

Licorice lovers, this one is for you! To be honest, I’m more of a savory gal but Wiley Walllaby licorice is my latest obsession. Working on a fun Halloween themed post with them and I’m grateful they sent me some extras… for ya know, quality control. 😉

I’ve been leaning into my Equilibria CBD a little extra this week. I take it consistently everyday but sometimes when I’m feeling a little overwhelmed, I’ll up my dosage. Grateful to have discovered the brand and have the support from their dosage counselors, you can read more about my journey here.

Cordially invited my dad to come over to make me dinner… 😛 Whenever he stops by, he brings a cooler bag filled with an assortment of goodies. This time it was chicken cutlets, banana bread and potato salad. Food = love.

Hello, my friends! I hope you’ve had a good week. For me, the week started off strong by my mom helping me organize and clean out a section of my closet. Many of you asked if I had been watching The Home Edit’s show on Netflix — I watched the first episodes last night and it was soOoOo satisfying. I’ve been following them on IG for awhile but I’m definitely re-inspired to reinvent my spaces.
As someone who works alongside clothes all day, I recognize I need a better system.

This article really resonated with me. In this new season and knowing that winter is approaching, I’ve been struggling a little bit. One small thing that makes me feel a little better is the realization that feelings are like waves- they come and go. It also helps to know that I’m not alone. If you’ve had a rough week/month/year- know that I’m rooting for you.

Content wise, this week was all about fall wardrobe inspiration. In case you missed it, I shared my top picks for cozy, versatile sweaters on every budget and my tips and tricks for layering your outfits. My favorite denim brand, Madewell is having 20% off for their insiders - it’s free to sign up. As I edited down my denim this week, those were the only pairs I would not let go of. They’re the BEST! I wear a 31R. A few of my favorites are high rise black skinny jeans, high rise blue skinny jeans, and the perfect vintage boyfriend jean.

I hope to take some time this weekend to unplug and recharge for a new week. As always, thanks for reading. Have a wonderful weekend! xx CMK
