Poinsettia Martini
Happy Thirsty Thursday! We are just about a week away from Christmas, and I cannot believe how quickly this holiday season has crept upon us. Whether you’re celebrating or not, I’ve got a fantastically festive drink to serve up this week. It’s tart; it’s tasty and surely will keep you in the holiday spirit.
I originally was inspired by Blue Chair Bay Rum for this recipe, but if you’re not a rum drinker, you can easily swap out the white rum for vodka! Either way, I hope you’ll enjoy it. It’s a festive take on a Cosmopolitan; please let me know if you try it.
Poinsettia Martini
INGREDIENTS:
1.5 oz. Blue Chair Bay Premium White Rum or vodka (we like Tito’s)
1/2 sprig of rosemary
.75 oz. lite simple syrup (or less, to taste)
.5 oz. fresh lemon juice
.75 oz. pomegranate juice
2 oz. club soda or seltzer water
fresh or frozen cranberries (for garnish)
DIRECTIONS:
Muddle half of a rosemary sprig with simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
Add ice to the shaker, then pour in rum/vodka, lemon juice, and pomegranate juice.
Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Splash in the club soda for extra fizz. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and cranberries.
Every host/hostess needs a fabulous cocktail set and glasses!
I really love these vintage-inspired coup glasses, they’re great for martinis and champagne! I also really love this gold cocktail set, it would make a fabulous hostess gift with a bottle of liquor.
