We’re headed out on a holiday weekend getaway this weekend and as I was packing for our trip, I wanted to share a few of my essentials that I’ll be taking with me a few items that may be useful in case you’re traveling this holiday season.
Let’s get to it:
Starting out with my favorite toiletries case, it’s not the prettiest but it packs and lays flat which is great for saving space. Brian and I both have one and use them whenever we travel. When you zip them open, the top part has a hook so you can hang it in your hotel room. Don’t forget these reusable and squeezable liquid TSA approved containers for your shampoos, lotion and sunscreen! These reusable makeup removing towels pair nicely with your favorite cleansing balm. I also recently bought this makeup bag that I was worried it’d be a little too small at first but I think it’s the perfect size for traveling. You’ll never see me go anywhere without these packing cubes, they make packing and unpacking upon arrival so easy, just throw them in the hotel drawers. I roll my clothes and place inside and it also helps keep your items organized without wrinkling. If I’m going somewhere that I may accumulate more items on the way back, I like to bring this compact tote bag that folds down to nothing!
As far as traveling goes, I love this 5-pack of masks. I’ve repurchased several times and they come individually wrapped so they make great gifts too. Make sure you have your hand sanitizer too! I always like to wear leggings when I'm traveling, I’ll be bringing this pair of faux leather leggings (use CARALYN10- I wear XL) but for more of my legging favorites, check out this post. I also recently bought this sweater in three colors, it’s so comfortable and pairs nicely with leggings (I sized down to a medium). If it is cold where you are, a coat, boots, a hat and scarf set are a must. This is one of my favorite packable puffer jackets, I just noticed it also comes in plus sizes up to 6X as well. I’ve been loving these boots lately but also have more and ways to style boots here. A little pro tip is to wear your bulkiest pair of shoes while traveling so you don’t have to pack them! I’ve gotten a few requests for travel friendly slippers, these look wonderful and inexpensive if you had to leave them behind. Don’t forget a cozy pajamas as well! I just snagged this under $30 set for our trip
I hope this was helpful! Feel free to leave any questions or suggestions below and be sure to check out more travel posts on CaralynMirand.com here! For luggage, I have an Away bag and also have some luggage picks saved here! Thanks for reading xx
