My Most Worn

Fall Shoes

AND WHERE I LIKE TO SHOP THEM

Earlier this week, I shared that I’ve been going through my closet, slowly but surely starting to think about switching things from summer to fall. I also shared ten fall looks that I’m excited to recreate from my wardrobe and a few styling tips on how to wear your dresses through the different seasons. Before buying new items, I think it’s important to take inventory of what you currently own, so this week has been a fun exercise for me! I decided to look through my shoes and share some of my favorite close-toed options for the fall. When it is time for a new pair, I’m also sharing a few of my favorite places to shop for size 11 shoes!

Kicking things off with Sam Edelman’s loafers and mules, I cannot get enough of these two styles. I originally purchased this pair in black several years ago and have since repurchased different colors. They are incredibly comfortable, I usually wear them without socks, but you could do these no-show loafer socks. These mules are the backless version of the loafer, and I especially love wearing these in late spring, summer, and fall. I also own these that are a very good designer look for less. I also wear these without socks, but after many repeat requests about feet sliding out of backless shoe styles, I discovered these mule socks, which have silicone grips to help keep your foot in place! I love styling both with jeans, trousers, skirts, and dresses. Consider these a more modern, updated version of a flat.

Next up, we have my beloved little white sneakers! I’ve shared these so many times, even devoting an entire blog post to it as well as a tutorial on how I tie the laces. I’ve recently purchased my third pair, and I wear them year-round, so they get beat up even though are extremely easy to clean. I recommend using a magic eraser or some white sneaker paint/polish to keep the laces looking fresh. Don’t forget to rock them with the best no-show socks (I wear size 11 shoes, and these fit well), previously featured on your most loved items from 2021!

I try to rock bare legs for as long as I can before the temperatures drop too much, I’ve owned these boots for several years, and they work beautifully with jeans, skirts, and dresses, most recently seen styled here. For more elevated looks, I love a classic suede pump. I find myself wearing these ones non-stop in the fall and spring. For a designer-inspired look, I love these cap-toed heels. They’ve been around and popular for a few years now, and I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon. They add just the right amount of sophistication to a simple outfit like a pair of jeans and a sweater or a dress! These backless mules are similar, and also in my rotation, I own in several colors.

Ballet flats are BACK! I will forever love my Rothy’s, I like styling them with straight-leg and wide-leg denim and dresses for a more modern feel. I’ve owned this style since 2017 and have since repurchased new colors! I believe CARALYN20 still works for a discount on your first purchase. While I’m not ready to fully commit to boots yet, I’ve been happy to see that riding boots are also trending for fall. Glad I’ve held onto them all of these years. These boots are great, and they also come in wide-calf options.
