White Sneaker Favorites and How To Keep Them Clean

White Sneaker

Roundup

It’s no secret I love a pair of white sneakers! From casual and sporty outfits, to pairing with dresses and blazers, I love to rock them year-round. It may be the only pair of shoes I wear year-round in my closet. They’re timeless, classic, and always in style! Still need further convincing? Not only are they a fashionable option, but they’re quite functional too. I like to wear sneakers traveling, and on days I’ll be walking a lot to keep my feet happy and still maintain some style.

I previously wrote a love letter to these little white sneakers that I’m still rocking several years later. I’ve repurchased a few times because I wear them constantly and beat them up, despite keeping them clean, which I’ll get to in a moment! I love how low they hit on the ankle, making them elongating on the leg. They’re also super lightweight, which makes them an ideal travel companion. However, I realize other sneakers exist, so I’m excited to share more of my finds.

From dressier to more sporty picks, I like a few options! Many of the styles above I own and wear them on rotation frequently. There’s no need to have a ton, but sometimes I like to switch it up. I definitely prefer a leather or leather-like sneaker, I find they are the easiest to keep clean, but suede is pretty manageable too! I’ve curated a list of picks for you, but here are a few more places to consider shopping.

The key to wearing a fresh pair of sneakers comfortably is having the right socks and keeping them fresh! If you always have difficulty breaking in sneakers, you may consider these heel pads for a more comfortable break-in time. I also love and swear by these no-show socks. They’ve been a most loved item by you for years! If you tried those and they didn’t work fo you, may I suggest the Bombas version. You can select the size, so if the others were too small or too big, I would recommend trying!

keep it clean

Brian and I are both very into keeping our shoes clean! We purchased this cleaning set a year or two ago and use it constantly. You may also consider using a waterproofing spray like this one too. I have used it on suede and boots. In a pinch, I’ll use a warm wet rag and a little elbow grease to wipe them. I’ve also used a magic eraser on the soles, which worked well! The key to keeping the laces white and fresh is the white sneaker paint linked within the above set, so I highly recommend using that. I also found this touch-up pen that has great reviews. You may have noticed I like to tuck my laces in, I have previously shared a tutorial on how I do that here. If that isn’t your thing, you may also consider purchasing these no-tie laces!
