Holiday Gift Guide: Lifestyle Gift Ideas

Holiday Gift Guide

Lifestyle

Back at it to bring you another gift guide. This week’s guide has some of my personal favorite themes that I love to source and find each year! Today we’re talking gifts for the one who has everything (also known as the difficult ones to buy for), gifts for the sentimental ones, for the jet-setters, the homebodies, the tech-savvy, and those who like to keep things clean!

I take a lot of pride in my gift guides, only sharing items that I personally own, love, and use or items that I would/plan on purchasing for loved ones! In case you missed the first two, we kicked things off with fashion-related gifts and gifts for the home.

For the one who has everything

This curation is for those who are particularly difficult to buy for. I self-identify within this category, so I hope you’ll enjoy some of these unique ideas! Kicking things off with this coffee mug warmer, this would be great to keep on a desk or counter to make sure that liquid gold stays warm. This XL train case is customizable so that you can add their initials. It’s a great catch-all for beauty and skincare items, especially while traveling! I’ve never been disappointed with the gift of fresh flowers, this box of roses will last over a year and looks beautiful in your home! I’ve been searching for a more compact steamer solution and came across this one on Oprah’s list of favorite things. It looks portable and has good reviews. This sampler perfume set and cologne set have been on my guides for years, they’re particularly amazing because you get to try a bunch of different scents, and when you’re done, you get to turn in the voucher for a full-size bottle of perfume or cologne. Lastly, you can’t go wrong with some personalized stationery! No one likes buying them for themselves, but they’re always good to have on hand.

For the sentimental one

We all have a few sentimental souls in our lives, these ideas are for them! A unique picture frame with a recent picture of you/your family/pet/something they’ll love, will always be a no-fail gift. I like to frame our holiday cards and give them to our parents. This customizable connect four games allows you to personalize with your family name and any relevant dates. BK bought me this fill-in-the-blank book a few years ago, and I keep it at my desk on a rainy days. They have a few variations of it, so you can choose which one feels best for your recipient and make it personal. Last year, I gifted these custom maps. They’re a great gift for people who’ve moved out of town or have sentimental ties to a particular place. I got one last year for my in-laws, that moved out of their home, it was a hit, and CARALYN25 works for a discount. This family and friends birthdays and celebrations hanger is a great way to keep track of all of the birthdays, anniversaries, and any other special dates you may want to keep in mind. Lastly, if you love the photo-themed gift idea, this photo collage is a great customizable gift to remember the past year. BONUS IDEA: a fun, festive, or sentimental ornament is a great gift idea. I love to find unique ones on Etsy.

For the jet-setter

This one is for those who are always on the move or have a year of adventure ahead of them. As someone who travels a lot, these are a few of my must-have travel essentials. I encourage you to check out the “travel” tab of my blog for inspiration, outfit ideas, and packing tips! These Apple Air Pods are a must for long flights, especially those flights without TV screens. This travel pillow is my absolute favorite. It supports your neck and comes with a carrying case that snaps onto your personal item, so it doesn’t get dirty. I’ve owned this carry-on bag since 2017. I’ve traveled the world with it and can’t recommend it enough! For a savvy packer, these packing cubes are an absolute must! I’ve got a tutorial on this previous post. AirTags are one of my favorite travel hacks, and I ALWAYS put one in my checked luggage to track my bag and ensure it arrived at my final destination. Lastly, this travel jewelry case is a must! It fits way more than you’d think and packs compactly for longer trips.

For the homebody

For those who like to stay home and cozy, a Kindle is a great idea and is very portable! If they prefer hard-copy books, this page opener is a unique and fun idea. If they’re an espresso lover, this Nespresso machine and glass mugs are a great gift to make restaurant-quality coffee at home. We are a Sonos sound household. This speaker is small, but the sound is mighty, and it’s portable, so you can easily take it from room to room. And lastly, we got one of these huggets that are so comfortable! It’s a stress-relieving knot pillow to delight the senses and is knotted from plant-based Melofoam.

For the techie

For the tech-savvy one in your life, these are a few of my and BK’s picks. First and foremost, we can’t recommend the Nest thermostat enough! It syncs with your phone to control the heat without getting up! Keep all of your cords and headphones organized with this tech kit. We recently started using this next-generation toothbrush, and it’s incredible. It syncs with an app on your phone and assists with daily brushing, and tells you where you need to spend more time. This speaker is a more affordable option than the one shown above, but it still has great sound quality and syncs with Bluetooth to your phone. This lighter is also a flashlight, rechargeable and comes in many color options! Lastly, we recently got the Echo Show for our kitchen, it’s great for keeping track of our daily schedules, recent Amazon orders, and searching recipes.

For THE ONE who loveS to clean

This one is for those who love to keep a tidy household and appreciate an excellent organizational moment! My dad always gifts BK this Bee’s Wax furniture polish, we’ve used it for years, and it works beautifully. It’s become a joke because we expect it from my dad each year, but it is legit! Pair it with these microfiber cloths, we’ve had these for several years, and they’ve held up nicely. For someone who wants to get organized in the new year, check out this book from The Home Edit and more of my organizational finds here. If I had to choose a favorite sponge, it would be the Scrub Daddy - it never gets stinky! I recently bought this cleaning gel so you can get all of the gunk out of my keyboard and car, it could be a fun stocking stuffer idea! And lastly, if you’re looking to splurge, a Roomba is always a good idea to keep up on the vacuuming.
