In the height of summer, one of my favorite things to wear is a little white dress. It’s a classic, timeless piece you’ll be able to rewear all summer long for years to come. I originally fell in love with them four years ago when I got engaged but have kept many in my closet since. Think of them as a blank slate, you can go neutral with your shoes and accessories (think tans, blacks, gold, silver, animal prints) or really add a punch with pops of color (pink, blue, reds, yellows are my favorites). They also pair really nicely with a denim jacket, some of my favorites are posted here. Whether you’re planning a wedding related event or not, surely you won’t regret having a white dress in your wardrobe!

more tips and suggestions for wearing white:
I typically wear beige or tan colored undergarments underneath white but fun fact, red or pale pink undergarments often work underneath white as well. In case you’re in the need for shapewear, be sure to check out this post on all sorts of solutions for different garments. I like to wear some sort of light shaping short, use CARALYN10 (also available here) to prevent chafing and provide some moderate, comfortable support. Sometimes I’ll just wear that as my underwear, sometimes I’ll wear undies underneath.
If you’re a tad messy like me, no need to be afraid of white! I still wear white despite usually spilling or getting makeup on the garment sometimes… I just try to be a little more aware of my surroundings when doing so. If/when I do get stains, I SWEAR by this Stain Remedy - it gets all sorts of stuff out really easily. It also comes in a spray, which works really well too.
