Designing A New Staple For Your Wardrobe
Remember earlier this week when I talked all about Amazon The Drop Staples collection on this blog post? In case you missed it and you’re not familiar with their Staples By The Drop collection, consider them supplemental pieces of your wardrobe that are available all year round. Unlike The Drop collections (only available for a limited amount of time), Staples pieces can be purchased anytime and are restocked frequently. The Staples By The Drop collection include dresses, tops, jackets, jeans, shoes and handbags!
After partnering with the Amazon The Drop Team last summer to create my first Amazon The Drop collection last July of 2020, I am excited to finally announce that I have designed my very own Staples By The Drop collection launching this summer.

That is why I’m in NYC! I've reconnected with my beloved photographer, Ryan Kell to shoot the entire collection with the helpful assist of my ‘intern,’ BK. I can’t give too many details yet but the THREE staple pieces that I’ve designed will be available in two colors/prints each. There will be a total of six clothing items, sized XXS-3X. I’ve poured my heart and soul into this collection and I truly hope you love it. I was a part of every stage of the design – thinking first about the story I wanted my collection to tell, functionality of the pieces, creating a moodboard, then reviewing and editing all sketches, trying on every sample, then editing those down to my collection of perfect pieces. Through the process, Amazon’s technical designers did the technical sketching of each style, and were responsible for pattern-making then producing the garments. I thought long and hard about these pieces, making sure they work on a variety of body types, ages and lifestyles.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
