New Year Refresh

Let's Get Organized

Slowly but surely coming back to life and getting into the swing of things over here post-holiday. I’ve recently gotten the itch to start organizing and purging again; I haven’t done anything since we moved back in September. It’s genuinely wild how quickly things get out of control, so I’ve slowly decided to conquer one thing at a time. Often organizing can feel like one giant, daunting task. I like to do one drawer/category at a time, not to make it feel impossible. Last weekend I finally tackled our linen closet, and this week I hope to purge some items in my closet. Today, I wanted to share a few of my favorite general organizational finds that I’ve purchased and use frequently. As soon as I put the collage together, I had a few more pop into my head, so consider this part one! If you’re still looking for more, I have a ton saved to my Amazon Storefront as well.

Closet-wise: I’m always looking for more shoe storage; we currently have this shoe rack, which is easy to assemble. I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to store my jewelry, especially my costume and bauble earrings, and I like this hanging organizer. I recently bought these hooks for our entryway and was impressed with the quality of them… now we need to hang them! Speaking of hanging, I SWEAR by velvet hangers. Over the past few years, I’ve slowly but surely switched my closet over to these hangers for a uniform look. I use these hangers with the clips for pants and skirts and still look like my other ones. For underwear and socks, I love to use these little divider bins! It helps keep everything organized, and when they’re overflowing, that is my sign that it’s time to purge. I recently helped BK organize his closet, and we found these acrylic dividers very useful for keeping his sweaters and shoes organized on the shelf.

For the kitchen and bathroom: This under-the-sink organizer made me feel like a real adult. It was pretty simple to put together and works like a charm for maximized storage. This would be great in a bathroom or closet as well. I recently swapped all of my spices into cohesive jars like these and it brings me an astonishing amount of joy, highly recommend. These bins come with an adhesive so you can put them on the inside of your cupboards for extra storage space. My life was forever changed when I discovered this wooden plastic bag holder, it fits into the drawer and keeps everything tidy. For the pantry, I have these storage containers which I LOVE and plan to buy more of and these clear bins for keeping things tidy. I have also purchased this lid organizer but I have yet to open the box… it looks promising though, stay tuned. This is not on the graphic above but this tea organizer has been amazing and keeps things looking tidy. Lastly, these little jars come in a set of four and are great for q-tips, cotton balls, floss picks and more!

Be sure to check out more of my organization finds here and more of my home related posts here! Do you have any favorite organizational finds that you’ve had luck with lately? Would love to hear and see any links below. Thanks for reading xx CMK
