WORK FROM HOME FASHION

WINTER EDITION

It’s that time of the year when my uniform becomes leggings, a sweater, and slippers. With the luxury of working from home, anything goes but I do find myself more productive when I put on an actual outfit (even if my waistband is elastic). Today I thought I’d dig into a few of my favorite pieces that are comfortable, cozy, and keep you stylish through these colder months. In case you’re still in the pursuit of the perfect leggings, be sure to check out my guide on the best leggings for any occasion. I’m re-sharing a couple of my favorites on this post but be sure to check it out if you’re in need of a deeper dive. I’m a huge proponent of wearing a properly fitting bra at home, as it does help with my posture at my desk. Here are a few of my favorites and some more information on how to find them but I do find myself wearing wireless sometimes too on lazier days. I’ve got more on this post!

You may not consider Spanx to be known for their clothing and loungewear but let me tell you, their stuff is GOOD! I’ve got a few things on this roundup, especially their Perfect Length Top, shown above and made for leggings (I wear a size large), as well as their Jean-Ish Leggings. They look like denim but pull on and have a hidden tummy support area but are comfortable enough to wear all day long. I usually do a large in the black ones, XL in their other denim shades (the fabrics are a touch different. I also need to shout out their AirLuxe collection; it’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It’s super comfortable but lightweight and breathable - yet cozy? You have to try it for yourself if you haven’t already, I wear XL in all pieces. If you’re looking for something more business casual, their Perfect Pant collection is excellent — by far my favorite work pant; I typically do a large, regular in those. For more, I believe CARALYN10 still works as a discount on Spanx items.

I’ve been having a lot of luck with sweaters on Amazon; some I like so much that I purchase in several colors. I have a bunch more on my Amazon Storefront, if interested. I recently got this sweater from a brand I often frequent in a size large, which had mixed reviews, but I’ve worn and washed it a few times without issues. Fun fact: I usually wear and wash things out a few times before sharing them so that I can speak to their quality. I also found a few pieces that are sized XXS-3X, like this cozy cardigan and this balloon sleeved option that would be great for the actual office. This turtleneck sweater in size large came in recently and I’ve really liked it, especially the split hem on it. Most days, you’ll find me in these everyday cotton leggings with the perfect hint of tummy support in a size large (available in plus sizes up to 3X here).

If you’re looking for more investment pieces and layers that would work well for home or the office, I cannot recommend this sweater blazer enough. I’ve collected quite a few over the years in whatever seasonal colors they launch. I typically wear a size large in it (up to 3X) and I think it looks fantastic with a t-shirt or blouse underneath. It gives an ounce of polish to your look with the comfort of a sweater. If you’re looking to splurge on a pair of joggers, I would highly recommend Vuori’s Performance Jogger. I have traveled the world in them and wear them all the time (in XL). Who knew joggers could be luxurious? They also have top options, so you could make it a matching set! We have hard floors in our home (we did at our old one too) so I always like to have some sort of slipper or designated indoor shoe on my feet. These slippers have been my current favorites, I had them a few years ago but LWH ate them for a snack and haven’t replaced them since. They definitely have the thickest sole out of all of my slipper favorites keep my tootsies warm. You can peep more of my slipper favorites on this post! If you’re looking for more of a shoe, I have these loafers that I’ll wear around the house when I want to complete the look.

Ever get that calendar reminder that you have 10 minutes until your next zoom call? When in doubt, I’ll throw on these blue light glasses or beaded headband to look like I attempted to pull myself together for the meeting. They’ll never know my secrets, unless they read this blog - ha!

Thanks so much for reading my picks! Be sure to check out more of my fashion posts on the blog here! Did you know that you can shop my daily outfits on the shop tab of the blog? I try to make it as easy as possible, just in case you need to come back to it. Do you have any favorite work from home looks that you’ve had luck with lately? Would love to hear and see any links below. Thanks for reading xx CMK
