Let’S TALK ABOUT
VALENTINE’S DAY
It’s not too soon to start thinking about Valentine’s Day, right? Amid this cold winter, I’ll take any opportunity to celebrate something! I loved curating this list of all things pink and red. So whether you’re looking for a little something as a gift for someone special or an idea to pass along to your significant other, hopefully, this list will get you in the spirit! I plan to share a list of Valentine’s Day-inspired outfits next week, so be sure to keep an eye out for that. Let’s dig into this list!
Kicking things off with some festive attire, I love this heart sweater (I wear XL)! It also comes in a mini girl’s version that I just had to get for my niece. Here is a similar look for less. I have this faux fur jacket from last year in the rose/mauve shade, and it is SO cozy; it can be worn casually or dressed up. It comes in many shades up to 3X (I wear XL). I also love to pull out this skirt in three colors now; it’s so versatile and comfortable. I have a previous post on different ways to wear it; you can check it out here! From time to time, I’m often asked about some sexier lingerie options, so I wanted to share a few options. I liked this lacy three-piece set which is available up to 3X, and this lacy under $20 robe that is available up to 5X! This is one of my favorite bras, and I LOVE the updated embroidered detailing with hearts, perfect for the occasion. For some more fit-focused size-inclusive lingerie options, be sure to check out ASOS, Elomi, Panache, Bare Necessities, and HerRoom. For more sexier size inclusive options, be sure to check out Amazon, Amazon (Plus Sizes), ASOS and Yandy.
I love to accessorize with a fun earring, and these heart earrings are just adorable and a fun way to be festive without having to commit. A red headband is also a great way to add a pop to your wardrobe. Pro-tip, recycle your festive holiday red items in your closet for Valentine’s day! More outfit inspiration is coming soon. If you’re looking for some gift ideas, I have these slippers in grey, and they’re beyond comfortable. I also can’t resist a new lipstick, more favorites on this blog post from last week! I’ve had this eyeshadow palette for a while, and it’s such a dream! I love all of the pinks in it, and it’s surprisingly very versatile.
Giving some small business love, I cannot resist Hotel Lobby Candles! I was never particular about candles until I discovered these. They last long and even smell good when they’re not lit. This would be a fantastic gift! Another thoughtful and sentimental idea is a personalized map image from The Map Collection (fun fact, the owner is one of the blog's readers)! I received these as a gift for the holidays and gifted my in-laws for Christmas; they loved it! They are customizable and have a bunch of different options. You can use CARALYN30 for 30% off your order!
Lastly, if you’re hosting any festive get-togethers… check out these adorably chic cocktail napkins and festive heart banner! I also have more entertaining essentials on this post. I decided to bake some funfetti cupcakes for a friend’s birthday this past weekend, but my dad’s cut-out cookie recipe comes in handy this time of year as well. You can check out some more gifting ideas on last year’s Valentine’s Day guide.
