BEACH GETAWAY

We’re just getting home from our recent trip to Cabo San Lucas for our friends’ wedding and wanted to share a few essentials for a beach vacation that I typically like to bring along with me. If you have any sun or sandy trips planned in the future, I hope this post serves as some inspiration! I plan on doing a full outfit roundup and review from our trip later in the week but for now, let’s dig into it.

Sunglasses are an absolute must! I like to bring a couple of pairs along with me, just in case. I recently discovered these under $20 polarized shades, and they’ve quickly become a favorite. They’re incredibly light on my face, which is excellent for warmer climates. I also really love this pair of hexagon-shaped sunglasses, they’re a splurge, but I wear them constantly. I enjoy sharing all things swimsuits on the blog, and I am looking forward to sharing an updated try-on and review. This swimsuit is one of my absolute favorites; it also comes in a long torso length. I usually range between 14 and 16 in the brand; I prefer to wear a 16 in this style. I love bringing dresses on vacation, especially casual ones that can double as a cover-up for casual days. I found this dress last summer; it can be worn on or off the shoulder. It also comes in a strapless version, which I own as well in an XL. This cover-up is a bit of a splurge but truly such a showstopper; I got it in a L/XL and received nonstop compliments! I previously shared more cover-ups on this post! I don’t like to bring many shoes. I typically travel in sneakers, sandals for the pool, and a functional, versatile heel for evenings out.

There are a few must-have beauty products that I always take with me while traveling. Sun protection is a MUST. I like buying this three-pack of this hydrating sunscreen. It’s also under 3.4oz, so it’s perfect if you’re not checking a bag! Last year, I discovered this scalp and hair spray and have repurchased it a few times. It smells so good; I cannot recommend it enough. Don’t forget about sunscreen for your lips! Nothing worse than sunburn there; I like this SPF 30 balm. Megababe Thigh Rescue is an absolute game-changer for curvy thighs; I apply it in the morning before we head down to the pool and reapply as needed.

I recently purchased this set of clear travel bags for this trip, and they are a perfect size. I had one for sunscreen, one for hair products, and one for random things in my carry-on tote bag that I also use as a beach/pool tote.
