After this week of intense snow and cold, I’m ready to start planning my next warm-weather adventure; anyone else? We’ve been on our fair share of trips, so I thought it’d be fun to share a few of my recent favorites. Back in November, we escaped the cold right before the snow rolled into Western NY and back to one of our favorite places, the British Virgin Islands. I’ve recapped our previous trips and favorite places to stay and visit in the past here, but this time, we were excited to experience it as a family of three!
Warm Getaway Favorites
for me
One thing I learned over the years is to make sure you have reef-friendly sunscreen. Bask is my favorite for our vacations and we use it at home as well! It comes in a lotion and a non-aerosol spray. It is important to wear SPF daily, I make it part of my makeup routine. Supergoop’s Glow Screen has a slight tint, leaving a healthy glow. This 3-in-1 leave-in spray keeps my hair hydrated and moisturized while protecting my scalp. Don’t forget about your lips! You need to keep them protected while in the sun to keep them from burning and blistering. This SPF Sun Bum chapstick is one of my favorites, comes in three flavors, and keeps your lips moisturized and protected.
Swimsuits are a journey post-partum, but these two were amazing on our trip. This one I won in several colors pre-pregnancy and post-partum. It is a staple in my swim drawer and brought on every vacation. This hair brush I re-purchase continuously and is a must on a beach vacation, brushing out the knots and tangles while keeping my hair soft. Everyone needs a black pair of sunglasses, and these are one of my favorites!

for baby
Regarding vacation favorites for a little one, consider packing essentials for both comfort and fun. This UPF swimsuit or this matching UPF set was perfect for our beach days. This hat and sunglasses set, and these sunglasses had great protection and Conrad loved wearing them! Our beach and sun essentials included this baby-safe sunscreen and this baby tent to provide shade. These mosquito stickers come in fun and silly faces and were so helpful, especially at night while at dinner.
