6 Self Care Items I'm Loving
Self-care through any phase of life is essential, but I especially appreciate a few little luxuries as I navigate this new postpartum phase. That’s why I thought I’d share a few items that are boosting me mentally and physically lately. Self-care can mean different things to different people and can change depending on your needs at the time. Regardless, I think reflecting on that and making space for it in your week is essential!
I’ve also gotten a few questions lately regarding any suggestions for gifts for anyone newly postpartum, so these may give you some inspiration. I can also say that I’ve greatly appreciated family and friends who have either brought over meals or sent us DoorDash gift cards. Cooking/prepping snacks and meals is a struggle, so not having to consider it has been a major win.
other ways I self-care
A few other ways I love to practice self-care are moving my body and getting outside when the weather allows. I can’t even explain how great I feel after a long walk, which significantly boosts my mood. I’m also a big believer in therapy and creating routines, and I shared a little more about that here!
I also love getting my nails done. It may seem superfluous to some, but it’s a must for me. I stare at my hands all day long when I’m typing on my computer or phone, so it brings me joy to see them done. I previously shared what I ask for here. I also appreciate a good haircare and skincare routine. I previously shared those here and here if you are interested! Staying hydrated and taking my vitamins are also daily musts.
