My Top Beach Essentials: Must-Haves for Your Next Beach Day

sharing my favorite

beach essentials

We just got back from our annual family beach trip to Cocoa Beach, Florida, and our beach equipment game has gotten several upgrades over the last few years. So today, I thought it’d be fun to share some of our favorite items to use on the beach for a successful day. The hardest part of any beach day is lugging everything, but once you’re all set up, it’s worth it!

I’ve had this mesh beach bag for years. It keeps all of your belongings in and sand out. I’ve heard about this bogg bag from my friends, and it lives up to the hype. I’m excited to use it more this summer around the pool. This backpack cooler holds a ton and is easy to transport as a backpack or in a wagon, keeping everything cold the entire day. Whether you want to recline or sit up, this lightweight chair is perfectly comfortable for your beach day. Sometimes I need a little shade, especially with the baby and we’ve been really impressed with this umbrella. Even on windy days, this one did not budge due to it's smart design.

I love an absorbent towel, these are our favorite. I’ve used these towel clips for years to keep them from moving or blowing away. This beach blanket is waterproof and sandproof, is perfect for the whole family to lay on and it is machine washable. Ever wonder what to do with your drink and resort to putting it in the sand? Keep your drink sand-free with these cup holders. Wagons/wheels are the easiest way for us to make it to and from the beach in one trip. We use this cart that stacks chairs easily and this wagon to carry all of the miscellaneous stuff. Our best purchase of the spring, this pop-up tent. Conrad loves it, it pops up and can be taken down in no more than 60 seconds. It’s easy and doable for one person to set up. It can also be used indoors or outdoors!
