Mother's Day

Gift Guide

Mother's Day is coming up (May 12th), so I wanted to share some ideas and inspiration for gift ideas if you're looking for some! I'm grateful for all the incredible women (many of whom are moms) in my life, so this post is dedicated to them and what I think they'd enjoy. This Mother’s Day feels extra special as it’s my first one with Conrad, but I want to acknowledge all the different types of moms, aunts, and parents out there. I know this day can be challenging for various reasons, and my sincere thoughts are with you, no matter what this holiday means to you.

If you’re looking for some inspiration, whether it be for others in your life or to send to someone for inspiration! I hope this guide is helpful with my recent picks and some other ideas at the bottom.

I am starting off with this travel set that I recently got, and I love the fun print! You can still use my code CARALYN20 sitewide. Fine jewelry is always a good idea. I bought this bracelet with Conrad’s initials as a gift to myself after he was born, and I was recently gifted this nameplate necklace that I’ve been wearing nonstop. These eye patches are one of my favorite beauty/skincare splurges, and they’re great for some extra love underneath the eyes for hydration and darkness. I’ve tried a few other things from this line and have loved them all! I love this “What I Love about Mom” prompt and fill-in book. BK has purchased a similar book for me, and I love keeping it near my desk and reading through it. These satin pillowcases are a great little luxury to add to your evening routine, they help extend your styled hair, reduce frizz and is good for your skin!

These faux tulips are such a win; everyone is always shocked when I tell them they're not real. I also placed them in a vase with water for an extra dramatic effect! A picture frame with an updated photo of you or your family is always a great idea, pets included! You can never go wrong with a Hotel Lobby Candle (in their newest scent), which lasts forever, paired with the chicest cloche that looks great on your table. Nice pajamas (these ones have been a favorite lately) and a classic lightweight robe are always a good idea, and you don’t realize how much you appreciate the luxury of a nice loungewear moment until you have it!

a few other ideas

Give the Gift Of a Bra Fitting

You know we couldn’t get through this post without another nudge to go get fitted for properly fitting undergarments! Support a local business and get a gift card for some new undies. You can find my store locators here!

COLOR CONSULTATION

I recently got my colors done at CreatedColorful.com. I’m a “soft summer,” and it completely changed the way I look at clothes and the way I get dressed. It’s such a fun, unique experience. I bought it for my mom for previous Mother’s Day. I believe my code CMK10 still works!

PAMPERING / SPA DAY

Everyone loves a trip to the salon; consider a gift card to the place where she gets her haircuts, colors, nails done, massages, etc. It’s a great way to support local businesses too!

Staycation

Give the feeling of a relaxing spa weekend right at home at a nearby hotel with spa treatments, room service (think breakfast in bed), and the works!

PLANT / TREE

I remember reading somewhere that one of the best Mother’s Day gifts they ever received was a tree/bush/flower that could be planted in the yard and watch it grow yearly. You could also give a gift card to a local plant shop/nursery!

SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

A few of my personal favorites are magazines, Book of The Month, Rocksbox, monthly flowers, and a wine of the month club.

Other ideas suggested from my crowd-sourced story frame that I received were thoughtfully written notes/cards, gift cards for house cleaning, meal delivery service, a family photo shoot, massage/spa day!

Thanks for reading!
