What I Wore This Week: Scottsdale Edition

Scottsdale, AZ

WHAT I WORE THIS WEEK

I just arrived home from several days across the country for my first solo trip postpartum. It was a work-related conference with other content creators represented by the management team, which is based out of Dallas, TX! It is always great to be in person and collaborate with others to get a pulse on current industry trends and forecasting, and connect with others who are in a similar career. This job is fantastic in many ways, but it can also feel quite lonely sometimes, so I always appreciate the opportunity to talk through workflow and see ways to improve. I came home to my team with a new sense of energy and vigor, which tells me I definitely need to do more of these in the future!

I think I’ve been to Scottsdale only one other time, and it’s a fun city to explore! Sadly, our schedule was pretty full throughout the few days I was there, so I did not get to go off property, but from my ride to/from the Phoenix airport, it looked like a lot of fun things going on!

THINGS GOT A LITTLE HOT

What I wore

It was hot this week, low 70s throughout the morning but reaching high 80s/90s by mid/late afternoon. While there is no humidity, it was certainly hot in the sun. I tried to keep things easy and functional with lots of flowy dresses and lightweight shapewear, you can check more of my favorites out here!

I always like to prepare for beach/pool trips with a spray tan. If interested, I have a recent post of my sunless tanning and bronzer favorites here! That way, I arrive tan (which helps me feel more confident in a swimsuit), and as it fades, my natural tan appears, so I maintain color throughout. If you want to keep a sunless tan throughout your trip, I highly recommend Luna Bronze or St. Tropez products.

I kept my makeup pretty simple throughout the trip, still navigating some new products through my changing skin! I used my top five summer beauty favorites and also packed a bunch of my vacation beauty must-haves. I saw a bunch of swimsuit-related questions, I strongly encourage you to check out the swim tab of my blog, especially my Swimsuit Guide from last year, and my swim highlights on IG for more in-depth reviews and sizing feedback. I plan to start a 2024 version very soon!

If you’re looking for more outfit inspiration, check out the shop tab of my blog, which I update daily with my outfits. I also have many options saved to my Amazon Storefront, organized by category, including many under $50 finds.

Thanks for reading!

I hope you loved seeing what I was up to this week and my outfits that I wore. Feel free to leave any questions below, and check out the travel tab of my blog for more trip roundups and travel inspiration.
