Holiday Gift Guide: For Family

Holiday Gift Guide

SHOPPING FOR FAMILY

We’re nearing the end of my gift guide series for the year, and I thought it’d be helpful to share a few items I’m personally shopping for my family members. Today I’m sharing gift ideas for the husband/dad in your life, my sister/mom, the beloved family dog, some group ideas for the in-laws, and lastly, shopping for my nieces! Next week I’ll share some last-minute gift ideas and stocking stuffers.

I take a lot of pride in my gift guides, only sharing items that I own, love, and use or items that I would/plan on purchasing for loved ones! In case you missed the first four guides, I’ve got some fun and unique ideas with my fashion-related gifts, gifts for the home, lifestyle-based gifts, and gifts of beauty and skincare!

For the Husband/Dad

These are a few of BK’s favorite things, he helped me put this list together! Starting with this leather wallet and keychain gift set, it comes with free debossing and several color options. BK bought this drill set for himself a few years ago, and we’ve since purchased this for other family members. It’s very easy to use and comes in several combinations, so you can choose what’s right for them! These cordless headphones are BK’s favorites for working out, traveling, or working from home. They are noise-canceling and sync easily with your phone/other devices. BK bought this backpack last year, and it was a splurge, but the quality is superb, and it’s great for work or travel. Last year, we discovered Toiletries, and we gifted them to every guy on our list! This razor holder and fog-resistant mirror set is a great place to start and helps not take up precious shelf space in the shower. Lastly, this Tissot watch is on my dad’s wishlist this year, he’s always asking us for new watches, and this brand has been good to him in the past.

For the Sister/Mom

And onto gifts for my sister and mom, to be honest, they’re some of the most fun for me to shop for because they usually like whatever I like! To be sure, I sometimes purchase the same gift for myself… Starting with these earrings! I thought this would be the perfect gift for my mom. Give the gift of calm to anyone on your list. Both my mom and sister are avid believers in Equilibria CBD. I always like to get them the latest bundled gift set each year, I cannot recommend them enough. The gift sets are a great way to try out the brand without committing, you can still use “caralynmirand” at checkout.

Another item always in my wheelhouse for gifts is Forever New fabric wash! See the importance of washing your undergarments in this previous blog post. This sweater is one of my go-to styles in the fall/winter months. It comes in many colors and is easy to wear, especially with leggings, and runs generously. I’ve finally given in to the hype of the Stanley cups, and now I’m determined to make everyone else in my life on board. I love having that much water on me at all times. It fits nicely in cup holders and keeps things cold. Lastly, a chic pair of cashmere gloves are always a good idea! I love all of the neutral colors of this one, and they’re touch-screen friendly. I have a bunch more ideas for her on my fashion-related gift guide, in case you missed it!

For Your Dog

If you’ve been following along for a while, you know our dog Walter (also known as @LilWalterHarvey). He runs our household and wouldn’t allow me to get through this gift guide without sharing a few picks for him. In case you missed it, I’ve previously shared a list of his favorite things, and he even has his own list on my amazon storefront! We’ve had this circle bed since 2019, it’s one of his favorites, and it washes well in the machine and dryer. We’re a big fan of this brand of treats, they make all sorts of stuff, but Walter goes especially crazy for these biscuits and these low-cal beef lung slices (when he’s watching his figure). Walter is a power chewer, meaning he plays hard with his toys, but this durable bone comes in several flavors and sizes and has lasted longer than usual. He especially loves and recommends chomping on it while fireside.

Messes are inevitable when you own a pet. For any unwanted stains, we’ve used this stain and odor eliminator for years and highly recommend it Muddy paw season is alive and well. We’ve been using this mud buster since the spring, and it works beautifully! We usually use it with clean water and then have a dry towel on standby to dry the paws off. We bought this brush when we first adopted Walter, and it works well with his fur type, especially useful in the bath. I learned about Fluff Trough a few years ago. They’re a small female-owned business made to help your dog eat and breathe better. Walter is a big fan! You may be wondering how Walter ALWAYS looks dapper. Well, it’s his collars with bowties, of course!

For the In-Laws

Shopping for your in-laws can be tricky, but luckily, I’ve got you covered. Last year, we purchased luggage for BKs parents, and each year, we can add on to their set. This travel bag slips effortlessly onto your rolling luggage and fits a ton! A luxe blanket will always be one of my favorite no-fail gifts! Once you get one, you quickly become addicted, and we’ve had to purchase several because I don’t like to share! A pot and pan set is always a great group gift. We have had this set for over a year and use it constantly. It was a significant upgrade! We love and use our Amazon Echo devices constantly, we especially love to connect them to our light bulbs so that we can verbally turn on the lights. I’m sure they’d appreciate help with installation! Gift the gift of premium sound with the Sonos Roam, it is small but mighty. We love to travel with this one too! When all else fails, you cannot go wrong with a festive candle! There are so many unique and sentimental options for these.

For my nieces

I am a very proud Auntie and love buying for my nieces! I have a niece who is three and a half and another who is only two months old, so I wanted to share a few ideas I have in mind for them this year. These gloves are just too cute! I bought this makeup and hair set for my older niece, who is very into it. It packs nicely in the case, so it’s a great thing to travel with too. This hooded bath towel comes in several colors and has excellent reviews, and I thought it’d be perfect for my younger niece! I’ve seen several moms talk about how great Magna-Tiles are, they’re great for ages 3+, so I knew I had to add to this list. This turtle ball pit is too cute and doesn’t take up too much space, which I thought looked like a good idea. I like how the balls zip nicely into the turtle when not used. Lastly, my niece is always stealing my phone to take pictures, so I thought it’d be cute to get her this digital camera that takes pictures and videos.
