Mocktail Recipe: Sparkling Blood Orange

Sparkling Blood Orange
Back at it for my third mocktail recipe on the blog! I’ve received so much positive feedback regarding sharing some fun non-alcoholic drink ideas, and I hope you enjoy these as much as I do. In case you missed it, Espresso Martini Mocktail and a Spicy Grapefruit Ginger Fizz Mocktail recipe.
Today I’m inspired by Marisa Moore’s Sparkling Blood Orange mocktail recipe! She originally shared it as a winter-inspired mocktail, as citrus is at its peak, so I’ll share a few modifications if you can’t find blood oranges. I think it would be fantastic with grapefruit juice or regular orange juice (freshly squeezed or store-bought). The honey and vanilla add a really nice depth of flavor to it. And, of course, if you’re drinking alcohol right now, vodka or tequila could be a nice addition to it.
What you’ll need
8 oz. blood orange juice, freshly squeezed
1 tablespoon honey
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
4 oz. lime sparkling water
for garnish, blood orange slices
Instructions
Step 1: Squeeze & Add
Squeeze the blood orange juice into a cocktail shaker. Add the honey and vanilla extract to the unchilled juice. Shake!
Step 2: Add Ice
Shake all ingredients again with added ice.
Step 3: Pour and cheers!
Strain and pour into glasses with fresh ice. Top with seltzer water. The recipe makes two small or one large drink. Cheers!
And that’s it!
Let me know if you try this recipe and if you enjoyed it! I have a few more mocktail recipes that I’m excited to share with you in the coming weeks! Do you have a favorite mocktail? Leave it below. I recently discovered Lyre’s non-alcoholic spirits and have been having a lot of fun experimenting with those! Thanks for reading.
